Today, a hearing to charges is being held in the case investigating the murder of Ian Cabrera, the 13-year-old adolescent killed by an armed student at the Mariano Moreno N°40 Normal School in the Santa Fe city of San Cristóbal. The hearing is at 9:00 AM at the city's courts, located at Trabajadores Ferroviarios avenue 1233, where officials from the Ministry of Public Prosecution (MPA) will hold a press conference. Mariana Oroño, a member of the aggressor's family legal team, informed the Argentine News Agency that the parents of the perpetrator are 'coping with the situation as best they can,' while the minor remains in a Santa Fe security institute, where an interdisciplinary team is evaluating his condition. The lawyer stated that the future of the implicated in the case, filed as 'aggravated homicide by the use of a firearm,' will be determined, as he could be sent to an establishment with 'therapeutic measures.' Similarly, since he is 15 years old and the new Juvenile Penal Law has not yet come into effect, he cannot be tried. 'He is accompanied by his father,' specified the lawyer who represents the attacker's loved ones along with Nestor Oroño. Additionally, she revealed that so far they have 'not contacted' the family of Ian Cabrera, the 13-year-old student who was murdered before the flag-raising at the school, which held its last farewell on Tuesday. Raids On Tuesday, the Santa Fe Police carried out the first raid at the home where the implicated lived with his parents, just hours after the attack that shocked the country. Then, on Wednesday, a new operation was carried out at the same residence, but this time the Federal Police participated. On the same property, there is a business that belongs to the boy's family and that was also raided. So far, no information has been provided on what was seized.
